Accreditation has a positive impact on consumers, suppliers, purchasers, and regulators across industries and organisations all over the world. Proper accreditation and certification can demonstrate necessary expertise and training, and ensure quality and reputability.
That’s why CRI Group and ABAC® Center of Excellence Limited will celebrate World Accreditation Day on Tuesday, 9 June 2020. We understand that being affiliated with leading certification and accreditation bodies around the globe provides assurance to our clients, partners, and governing organisations that we have the highest level of knowledge and rigorous testing that our field requires.
World Accreditation Day (#WAD2020) is a global initiative established by ILAC and IAF to promote the value of accreditation. According to ILAC, “Accreditation is the independent evaluation of conformity assessment bodies against recognised standards to carry out specific activities to ensure their impartiality and competence”.
Additionally, “Accreditation bodies are established in many countries with the primary purpose of ensuring that conformity assessment bodies are subject to oversight by an authoritative body,” according to IAF.
While the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting social distancing policies have made in-person WAD events mostly unfeasible, CRI Group and ABAC® encourage you to celebrate with us online – and look into our certification opportunities, in particular ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System Certification. ABAC® is an independent certification body accredited by ISO to provide ISO 37001 certification. Read about two of our other major accreditations below.
Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC)
CRI Group’s ABAC Certification is also accredited by EIAC, making it the first accreditation of its kind awarded to a certification body specialising in global anti-bribery and anti-corruption, risk and compliance standards.
EIAC was established pursuant to Law number (27) for the year 2015, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, to become the governmental accreditation body of the Emirate of Dubai. EIAC’s main activity is to accredit Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs), both Governmental and Private, within the UAE and overseas.
EIAC recognises that attaining excellence and ensuring the integrity of products delivered to the society can only be achieved through an inclusive approach and collaboration with all stakeholders, not least the legislation and regulatory bodies and Conformity Assessment Bodies.
“EIAC is an esteemed accreditation body, and we are honoured to have earned the first accreditation of its kind for ABAC Certification’s ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System standard,” Anjum said.
